I understand that people were shocked (but like read the warnings bro it literally says suicide), but I thought this was very well done. An idol, streamer, celebrity has a lot of pressure on them and a lot of haters. When the pressure become too much, sometimes they rather die then deal with it. People are hating because this wasn't a happy story. With THOUSANDS of people hating on you, it fucks up the mental so much. I got the ending where he hangs himself and I understand why he does. So I really don't get why people are freaking out so much. I will say, it was kind of abrupt, but that has to do with this being a short game and having time skips. He's not caseoh, he can't joke around about all the insults. His mental isn't strong enough for it. I don't think people realize that this happens in real life more often then you'd think and it's terrible.
I didn't go back to get the other two endings so I can't comment on those. I just hope people will read this and realize that t
Guys the reason on why you randomly stab Zilas is cuz it was supposed to happened.He actually died in the blizzard and sold his soul to the a kind of devil (one of the reason why theres was a random cat on his lap). But according to the deal, he had only a week to live, which explains why he wanted to get 1m, show "you" to everyone and propose to you. He also gave his soul because he realized that he did not care about the fame or many, but cared about wanting to spend time with "you", as his partner. It's one of the reason on why he said "Its not your fault...I can explain" + thats why you get no happy endings. Because of the deal, he knew he was about to die soon weither he liked it or not.
Did the dev post that on twitter or tiktok or something, or is that just a theory? Because according to hints in game and others in the comments, the cat isn't just a demon, but apparently Ryuk from Death Note? I'm a little rusty on the series, but I don't think that was how things worked.
If you are right, then the question remains WHY the hanging and murder? Zilas could've just dropped dead when his heart stopped or our character could have found him frozen like he should have been originally, which imo would have been more poetic and less gross than the route the dev did take with the endings.

Decent enough game for the most part, botched by the poorly executed endings. The incredibly abrupt tone change gave me whiplash, and I read all the trigger warnings. Subverting the expectations of your audience is not the same as a cleverly written plot twist, and typically isn’t received well for a reason.
For my reviews, this was a really nice game and has a good touch in it,including the arts, the styles, sounds, voice-acting, and I absolutely love Zilas. But why the endings gotta be so harsh?, I mean I kind of expected it when I read the description details but still, the ending got me caught-off guard and literally punching my pillow, like why not do a better ending.. that doesn't contain suicide, gore, violenece and etc. Even the twist got me.. Zilas had been dead before the stream even started.... this is such a cute and very depressing yet heart-warming game, based in one of the endings where the cat told the truth.. I really feel bad for Zilas, I hope the creator can give another chance for Zilas.
despite all the negative comments I've read, I still think it is a wonderful game. Love the art, the symbolism to real life situations involving online communities and LOVE ZILAS! Keep working hard girl! <3

I don't know if you have adressed the critism, but please read those who are criticising your game and do something about it. Encouraging your younger fans who looks up to you to bot reviews to make your character come back to life is weird. Using s#icide to bait ratings,to use as a cheap gimmick.. I hope you take other people who has criticised you before me well and do better to improve.
Absolute waste of time game. Had potential and a likeable character as well as likeable concept but failed miserably at providing any sort of satisfaction even after a day was completed. Either ending made absolutely no sense and was only a cheap horror gag, if even. I hope this game is rage bait and not actual content because I pray for your future game developing career if this is the best you can come up with. And it surely isn't, developer has made another amazing dating sim that actually touches upon dark concepts in actual meaning without being complete boredom and garbage. I'm not one to make hate comments but this game needs some serious work and revision if it's actually intended to be enjoyable.
I'm sorry but if you choose to ignore both the trigger warning in the game AND in the description I don't think the creator is responsible for it. If you know you have triggers I think you should be reading the trigger warnings that are provided instead of getting upset about it. :)
I don't know... I read the content warnings and don't have any particular triggers surrounding suicide and it was still awful. One minute the game is happy, then suddenly it shows him kill himself. With no warning or foreshadowing in the story leading up to it, it's not only bad writing, but jarring and disturbing.
That’s how I feel about this too. I can handle dark topics and horror movies but this was presented in such a terrible fashion as this game was shown as something more comfy.
I played this when it DIDN’T have trigger warnings and didn’t come off as horror. Trigger warnings need to be shown up front. Even when I see any type of talk about this game, people don’t say it’s horror, WHICH IS IMPORTANT. When I got to the end of the suicide ending I was pissed because it wasted my time. Like, I’m still mad whenever I come across anything related to this game.

The tone in your comments still try to make them out to be as if they are in the wrong to be upset and an “apology” doesn’t automatically debuff that.
So if you want to apologize with sentiments along “I’m sorry you feel that way,” don’t, because that is a non-apology. An apology comes from recognizing WHY someone is upset, acknowledging something upsetting did happen without putting the other person down, and not trying to come off as mean-spirited about it.

I suggest reading through the other reviews without any intention to criticize the words of dissatisfaction from others or defend the game and try to see it from their perspective and even replace those triggers with something else that upsets you to see if you can relate. If you want to still play the “I don’t get it” card, that’s something you need to work on yourself, not some random person on itch should be teaching you.

When I first responded to you, I was rather insensitive and didn't think much about what kind of effect the sudden display of suicide would have on other people because I am not affected by it much, and because I believed that a trigger warning would be enough. However, I recognize that not everyone responds the same way I do about trigger warnings, and that there wasn't even a trigger warning for some people who played the game before I did. When I try to think about what it might be like for you, the way you describe it to be bad writing, jarring and disturbing, I can see the flaws in the story that I didn't notice or unintentionally ignored in my first playthrough. I appreciate you responding to me with your thoughts on the game and giving me another perspective that I otherwise wouldn't have imagined.
Mmm... i didn't like it. The story moved way too fast and the endings came out of nowhere without warning or foreshadowing. I usually like horror but they were uncomfortably brutal for no reason.
I actually shed a tear at that one ending, just thinking of the aftermath is sad. But other than that, wonderful art, voice, smooth animation, and good story.👍
ending made me so confused honestly its pretty wholesome i love the concept and teh gameplay and stuff but the ending doesnt make any sense in my opinion?? huh???????????? please tell me this is a demo im gonna scream.
